Talent Show

Ralph McCall Has Got Talent!

Mrs. Anderson is organizing a school talent show, to be performed on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 28 at 1 p.m.

A fun celebration of skills, talents, gifts, and abilities to showcase our lovely students!

This will be an in-school assembly and will not be open for parent viewing due to number of people in the gym and we have to be respectful of the fire code. The focus will be on selecting students with outside talents and abilities who are in grade 3 and 4. However, if you are the parent of a child in grade 1 or 2 who has an extraordinary talent to showcase, please contact their classroom teacher. We would like to select a couple of the younger students if there are some exciting and well-prepared talents that they would be willing and confident enough to showcase for the entire school.

Round one auditions took place last week by the grade 3 and 4 teachers for their respective groups.

Please note: NO LIP SYNC acts are permitted.

This is meant to be a FUN event for all! We are looking for exceptional talents and skills that are unique and special. Singing, dancing, an instrument, gymnastics... NOT a hockey slapshot, a scooter trick, a soccer kick etc). This is “Canada’s Got Talent” types of acts.

The names of the successful applicants who are moving onto round 2 auditions will be posted outside of the music room by Monday, May 6. Round two auditions will take place Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9 in the music room at lunch.

There will be an after school dress rehearsal after school for all successful candidates on Monday, May 27 from 3-5 p.m.

We are also interested in doing an art showcase for the talent show which would be viewed in form of a artistic mural, as well as an art table to display student artistic talent. This would include  drawings or projects that students have created at home outside of the school. This will be for grade 3 and four students only. If your child has an artistic talent, and has drawings or art projects they have worked on at home that they wish to submit for the art display, please have them bring it into Ms. Partlow or Ms. Anderson.
